For more than two decades, I have incorporated scripture and Bible verse into my original abstract paintings and mixed-media works — and I continue to do so today. When I began, modern Christian-themed art was rarely seen within contemporary or abstract spaces, yet the work resonated deeply not only with Christians, but with people around the world drawn to the enduring power of the Word itself. These abstract scripture works allowed collectors to live with contemporary art that also carried meaning — offering a non-literal way to share faith without relying on traditional imagery, decorative motifs, or prescribed symbolism.

By blending abstraction with scripture, my abstract scripture & cross paintings created space for both deep belief and contemporary aesthetics to coexist on the wall. Because faith-based text had traditionally appeared only within folk or illustrative contexts, my scripture/cross paintings approach sat way outside gallery norms, yet it quietly helped expand how Christian themes could be expressed through modern abstract art. For this reason, my scripture and cross works have resonated with collectors worldwide who appreciate the intersection of abstraction, materiality, and meaning.
