Collection Description:
Keck’s found object assemblages are one-of-a-kind wall art sculptures created from discarded, reclaimed, and repurposed materials. By combining found objects, recycled items, and vintage components, she transforms overlooked and forgotten materials into original found object assemblage art defined by texture, history, and careful construction.
Her engagement with found object assemblage art began in 2003, starting with small dioramas built from vintage cigar boxes purchased at auction. As her studio accumulated packaging, worn tools, paint tubes, and other discarded materials, Keck expanded her practice to large-scale wall assemblages that celebrate the beauty and narrative of reclaimed objects.
Each found object wall art piece is a unique assemblage, crafted from materials sourced from barns, old automobiles, farm equipment, and other reclaimed sources. Keck carefully assembles each found object assemblage, creating layered, textured works that arrive ready to hang and display.
