Keck eschewed the traditional gallery-representation route and concentrated on propelling herself forward via her own self-promotion efforts. Today Keck is considered to be one of if not the most successful self-representing artist online. In less than two years time, Keck became one of the most popular and top-selling self-representing artists on eBay. Keck reached platinum powerseller status for her online art sales on eBay; a large feat only a small few self-representing artists have ever achieved. Keck's average monthly art sales were in excess of $20,000+ with her record month hitting over $42,000 in art sales. As the caliber of collectors and artists on eBay started to decline in 2006 Keck made the decision to follow the lead of a few other successful eBay artists before her. That lead was to discontinue the sales of her original works via eBay which she did at the end of 2006.

In 2006 Keck successfully opened her own online art gallery www.michelkeck.com as well as her own offline 'brick and mortar' gallery and fine art publishing company. Today Keck's collectors and fans in the Northern Indiana area can schedule an appointment to view her works in person at her fine art gallery located in Rensselaer, Indiana. The average selling price of a Keck original has been on a steady and serious increase since 2003. While there was a time a few years ago that you could purchase a Keck original painting for a few hundred dollars, that is no longer the case. Today, Keck's original abstract paintings and mixed media assemblages are selling for thousands of dollars each.

Keck continues to pave the way for self-representating artists world-wide. Recently noted as "a big mover and shaker in the international online art world" by gallery owners Linda Dorman and Tom Torleumke of Uncle Freddy's Gallery, Keck receives hundreds of emails each week from artists asking her for assistance in marketing their art. While Keck spends the great majority of her time creating art, she does devote some spare time to coaching other artists who are serious about becoming successful self-representing artists.
